BIO-UV Group designs, manufactures and markets water treatment systems by ultraviolet (UV-C), ozone, salt electrolysis and AOP.

UV

The sun emits an invisible light: ultraviolet. This natural phenomenon is reproduced inside the BIO-UV Group reactors thanks to powerful lamps that emit UV-C rays.
At 254 nanometers, the optimal wavelength to eradicate microorganisms (viruses, bacteria, algae, yeasts, moulds, etc.), UV-C penetrates the core of the DNA and disrupts the metabolism of cells until they are completely inactivated. All germs are eradicated (including legionella, cryptosporidium…) and can no longer reproduce.

The physico-chemical characteristics of the water are not modified (taste, smell, pH, etc.). No disinfection by-products are generated by UV treatment. It is therefore not harmful to the health of humans and animals and thus fits in an ecological approach of sustainable development. UV disinfection is done safely

Ozone

Ozone (O₃) is a powerful oxidizing agent generated on site, typically from oxygen, and used in water treatment to reduce microbial load and oxidise dissolved substances such as organic matter, iron, and manganese. Ozone improves water quality through oxidation without leaving persistent residues.

Salt electrolysis

Salt electrolysis in swimming pools is a principle that allows water to be treated naturally. The salt in the basin in contact with the titanium plates dissociates into sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl-), which immediately dissolves in water producing a natural active chlorine, It disinfects the water and destroys organic matter, bacteria, fungi and algae.

Then, under the effect of ultraviolet rays from the sun, chlorine is transformed back into salt and then returned to the electrodes. The disinfection cycle then starts again.

The water is thus disinfected, disinfectant and transparent without suffering from the discomfort of chemical chlorine (irritations, odors, etc.) and without the addition of harmful products.

AOP

Advanced oxidation technology is a water treatment process that combines ozone and ultraviolet rays. The combination of ozone with UV light forms highly reactive hydroxyl radicals (OH-) with a very short life span and leaving no chemical residue. The combined power of ozone, UV and OH- radicals allows a triple action treatment of contaminants difficult to remove, such as chloramine precursors and other residues commonly found in water.

Result: cleaner and healthier water.
