The principle of chlorine-free water treatment

During the filtration cycle, water circulates inside the BIO-UV water treatment device. Bacteria, viruses and algae are destroyed by the radiation of the UV-C lamp, without creating side effects or harmful by-products.

In order to ensure continuous disinfection in the pool, between 2 filtration cycles and in association with UV-C treatment, BIO-UV offers automatic systems allowing to adjust, without any manipulation, the disinfection product injection (BIO-UV residual oxygen, exclusive formula) and the regulation of pH, based on 3 parameters:

  • pool volume,
  • water temperature,
  • the pH of the water.

The water is disinfected and disinfecting, algae prevention is ensured and overdoses avoided.

How it works

UV treatment destroys microorganisms by passing water through a reactor where it is exposed to a UV lamp. It is effective but not residual: once the water leaves the UV reactor, it can be contaminated again in the pool (sweat, sunscreen, etc.).

Thus, a low-dose complementary disinfectant is often used.
