BIO-UV Group and Brasserie du Bocq in Belgium: a partnership that enhances waterquality to produce exceptional beer!
BIO-UV Group, a European specialist in water treatment and disinfection systems using UV, ozone, salt electrolysis, and AOP, announces a new milestone in its partnership with Brasserie du Bocq, one of Belgium’s oldest independent breweries. The brewery has installed a new UV treatment system to ensure the safety of the reverse-osmosis water used in the production of its renowned beers.
An expertise dedicated to industrial excellence
Since 2021, BIO-UV Group has been supporting Brasserie du Bocq with innovative and reliable solutions tailored to its growing needs. Following the installation of two UV reactors in 2021, the brewery has renewed its trust by ordering a third UV system this year. This solution meets new production requirements while ensuring impeccable water quality, which is essential for the composition of its beers. “The systems supplied by BIO-UV Group quickly proved their worth, resulting in high-quality water used in our beer-making process. After our initial collaboration with BIO-UV Group, we were satisfied with the results; it therefore seems only natural to us to continue our partnership with the company,” explains Xavier Hubert, Investment Manager at Brasserie du Bocq. In 2022, the beers produced using water treated by BIO-UV Group’s UV systems received two prestigious awards: a bronze medal at the World Beer Awards Belgium and at the Brussels Beer Challenge.
BIO-UV Group’s UV reactors, designed for industrial applications, are ACS UV certified, meet food safety compliance standards for the food industry, and deliver high performance, with the following key features:
- Low-pressure amalgam UV lamps that provide optimal disinfection under a variety of conditions (cold water, room temperature, or hot water up to 60°C) while reducing energy consumption.
- Compact reactors with vertical or horizontal designs for easy integration into the brewer’s production lines.
- Real-time monitoring of production processes via a UV sensor with an LED alarm and dry contact signaling.
BIO-UV Group: A Key Partner to the Food Industry
« This renewed partnership with Brasserie du Bocq demonstrates our commitment to providing solutions tailored to the most demanding food industries,” explains Maxime Dedeurwaerder, Sales Director for Solutions at BIO-UV Group. Thanks to its cutting-edge technologies, the company meets strict European quality and safety standards while delivering high performance, enabling BIO-UV Group to establish
itself as a key player in water treatment within the beverage and bottling market.
