Operation of the UV water treatment system
UV treatment offers numerous advantages for indoor pools, including effective and safe disinfection and a reduction of up to 75% in combined chlorine levels to an average of 0.1 to 0.3 ppm, resulting in better bathing quality. Opting for UV treatment is also an environmentally friendly choice, as it reduces water consumption, optimises heating and dehumidification costs, and limits corrosion.
While the UV technology (low or medium pressure) installed in public swimming pool water treatment systems can destroy two of the four THMs (CHCIBr2 and CHBr3), medium pressure is the only technology suitable for destroying all three chloramines.
