Salt electrolysis in swimming pools is a process that allows water to be treated naturally.
The salt present in the pool, when it comes into contact with titanium plates, dissociates into sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl–). The chlorine immediately dissolves in the water, producing natural active chlorine, which disinfects the water and eliminates organic matter, bacteria, fungi, and algae.
Subsequently, under the effect of ultraviolet rays from the sun, the chlorine transforms back into salt and passes again through the electrodes: thus restarting the disinfection cycle.
The result is crystal-clear, disinfected, and disinfecting water, free from the drawbacks of chemical chlorine (such as irritation and odors) and without the addition of harmful products.
