In the majority of European countries, chlorine is mandatory to disinfect communal pools and spas. It generates chloramines created in contact with organic matter brought by bathers. Harmful to the body, these chloramines are responsible for respiratory infections and skin and eye irritation.
To counteract these harmful effects, BIO-UV Group has developed specific ranges of treatment with UV-C, ozone and AOP for disinfection, dechloramination and oxidation of swimming pools and collective spas.

- EAC (Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus): certifies compliance with protection directives, particularly against fires, for the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
- UL (United States): certification issued by an independent laboratory that conducts regular audits and tests on samples to verify compliance with current standards.
- NSF 50 (North and Latin America): reference standard for the certification of equipment intended for swimming pools, spas, hot tubs and other recreational aquatic facilities.
- PZH – NIH (Poland): certification issued by the National Institute of Public Health, guaranteeing health safety in terms of water, food and prevention of infectious diseases.
