BIO-UV Group has developed the BIO-SEA range of UV ballast water treatment (BWTS), chemical-free, certified by the IMO and the USCG.
The filter first separates and sorts the water that enters the ballasts via a sieve filter, in order to reduce the number of particles (organic or not) suspended in the seawater. Passing in front of the UV reactors, the water is disinfected by UV rays that destroy the DNA of microorganisms without adding any chemical product.
The UV treatment inactivates microorganisms present in the water. Passing in front of the UV reactors, the water is disinfected by UV rays that destroy the DNA of microorganisms without adding any chemical product.
Automatic operation and control: all ballast water treatment operations are automated thanks to sensors.
