Reporting to the BIO-UV Group, Technical and R&D Director at headquarters in Lunel, France, you have a critical business support role working with the sales and engineering teams providing expert knowledge of ozone applications in water purification and wastewater treatment.
You will work within a multi-national matrix organisation that is developing new and existing products, whilst providing critical support to the Sales team on ozone applications and capacities.
BIO-UV Group has achieved many successes in recent years and has recently completed a €12.7m capital raise to fund further growth. The business has grown from Revenues of €12m in 2018 to €20m in 2019 and €32m in 2020.
This appointment and expansion of our Ozone product range is a key objective in our 5-Year organic growth plan to reach Revenues of €60m in 2024.

Job Duties:
Day to day hands on project management and support to the Product Development Engineering Team based in East Kilbride, Scotland and Lunel, France.
- Understanding and interpreting customer needs and requirements both technically and commercially for ozone water purification and wastewater treatment.
- Propose and prioritise new products developments in relation with the technical direction of BIO-UV Group
- Provide experience and knowledge of ozone generators to aid in the analysis and decision making of the engineering team.
- Work with the sales team to provide Applications Engineering sizing and product selection for solutions to meet customer needs and provide competitive product support during bidding.
- Oversee the structure/organisation of the projects in coordination with the project managers, including on time completion and to budget.
- Coordinating with the different parties involved in a project (Suppliers, laboratories, engineering etc.) as required.
- Liaison with external Ozone Regulatory and Advisory bodies such as; EuOTA, IFREMER, UL etc.
- Able to attend customer and site visits with field salespeople to evaluate product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Responsible for customer pilots when required; test and qualification plans, costs, follow up.
- Conduct market research to obtain the required market data to aid in development of new and existing products and market strategy.
- Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
- Able to produce both market and technical reports to provide long term reference materials to aid in sales, engineer, installation, maintenance activities.
- Understanding of market accreditation and certification requirements for new and existing product portfolio.
- Involved in maintaining and updating product accreditation and certifications and in conducting future accreditation and certification activities.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Profile Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of ozone water purification and wastewater treatment applications and systems.
- Relevant engineering or science-based degree or equivalent technical qualification with experience.
- A high level of work ethic and a “can do” attitude are critical in our dynamic organisation.
- Proven experience of new product development, testing and commercialisation.
- Understanding of customers, with the experience and gravitas to analyse their requirements and present commercial solutions.
- Ability to carry out market analysis, and evaluation of trends and developments in the competitive landscape.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The person will be based in Glasgow.
