Job description
You will be part of our international procurement team managed from Lunel, France and locally you will report to the Finance Controller.
This is a business-critical role, based at our Ozone Centre of Excellence in East Kilbride, nr. Glasgow, you will have the responsibility of ensuring parts and materials are sourced, ordered and delivered on time, at the right cost and quality.
The position is predominately office based; however, you will be expected to travel to visit suppliers both in the UK and overseas with occasional visits to HQ in France.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Sourcing and management of suppliers, including;
- preparing and issuing tenders
- negotiating prices
- managing delivery lead times
- managing supplier quality
- Minimize stock levels while maintaining continuity of supply for production and our growing aftermarket spare parts business.
- Material Scheduling and Order Processing
- Reconciliation of stocks & stock accuracy
- Continuous Improvement of SAP system (ERP), procurement and warehouse processes
The above list is not definitive, and you will be expected to carry out other tasks within reason when requested by the company.
Skills / Experience / Qualifications
- Strong negotiating / buying skills with a proven record of results.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a procurement and stock management role.
- Previous experience in using and setting up SAP B1 procurement is an advantage.
- If not SAP, detailed experience of setting up and operating an equivalent ERP system to SAP is critical.
- Preferably hold a professional qualification in procurement, business or other relevant field.
- Hold a current clean UK driving license and passport.
